An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Monday, repeating until June 7, 2021
Can’t run at all? Get yourself up to 5k in just 7 weeks! Designed for total beginners, these sessions will teach the key skills and techniques perfect for those of you who have always wanted to try running but felt you weren’t fit enough, fast enough or strong enough. In the first week you’ll only need to jog for a total of 60 seconds at a time which makes Learn to Run the perfect start for anxious individuals! Over time your body will condition to running 5k or maybe even more!
***Please NOTE: This is a 7 week course and there will be NO SESSIONS on Bank Holiday Mondays so this course will be 7 events over 9 weeks.
Meet in the Oakmere Park Car Park by the foot path entrance. Please ensure you are dressed in High Viz with Reflective areas on it to keep safe!
It is a good idea to wear layers so you can peel some off when you get warm.
Please do not bring any valuables with you as our coaches will not be able to hold or secure these.
COVID SAFE * we respectfully remind you when arriving to keep 2 meters from your fellow runners. During the run a predetermined route will be set out by the coach for you to follow – enabling you to keep 2 meters apart at all times. We really appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe & healthy
