An event every week that begins at 10:45 am on Monday, repeating until September 25, 2017
Pilates sessions are designed to concentrate on slow and measured movements in order to create lean and stronger muscles. Pilates aims to strengthen the body, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates is a gentle but highly effective class for improving posture and flexibility and preventing injury. Pilates exercises are done on a mat.
These sessions are designed to suit people of all shapes, ages and abilities. A qualified instructor will advise you how the exercises can be adapted to suit your ability.
Take a mat if you have one, though the instructor will have some spare. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. No shoes are needed as Pilates tends to be performed barefoot.
