A FREE event to promote safety amongst older people is coming to Borehamwood and Elstree next month and everyone is welcome.
The free ‘safety, help and advice’ event for people aged 60 and over, is taking place between 10am and 1pm on Thursday 2 November at Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue.
Representatives from Hertsmere Borough Council, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, Hertfordshire Constabulary, Communities 1st, Neighbourhood Watch, Age UK, Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue, Alzheimer’s Society, Jewish Care, Trading Standards, Samaritans and many others will be at the event to offer advice and support.
Speakers will visit residents at their table and there will be stalls set up for people to visit to discuss issues in more detail. Participants will also receive a free kosher lunch and refreshments, in addition to a free Warm in Winter gift bag, kindly donated by Small Acts of Kindness.
